Terms of service

What we are

Shinivo is business software for independent cleaners and small cleaning businesses. You use it to list your services, publish a booking page, take bookings and keep track of your customers and jobs.

You run your own business. We provide a tool.

What we are not

We are not a cleaning service and we do not clean anything.

We are not your employer, and you are not our employee or contractor.

We do not promise you customers. The Marketplace is optional and off unless you switch it on. When it is on, people searching your area can see your public profile and request a cleaning, but we do not promise you leads, bookings or any level of demand. There is no paid placement and no way to buy a better position.

We do not run background checks, and we do not vet or verify anyone.

We are not an insurer.

We are not a bank, and we are not the merchant for your cleaning work. The agreement to clean a house is between you and your customer, and the price is yours.

How your customers pay you depends on what you switch on. Cash never touches us: it is handed to you and you record it. Card payments are optional and only exist once you connect a Stripe account of your own. When they are on, the charge is created through our Stripe platform and Stripe settles the money into your connected account and pays it out to your bank on Stripe's schedule. We never see or store card numbers, and we take no cut of the cleaning: there is no commission and no application fee on any charge. Stripe's own processing fees are between you and Stripe.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.

You are responsible for what you put into the product, including customer details, and for having the right to hold that information.

If you use Team, the account owner controls invitations and roles. Invite only people authorized to work for the business, remove access promptly when it is no longer needed, and require each person to use their own account rather than sharing a password.

Your work and your customers

The agreement to clean a house is between you and your customer. Pricing, quality, cancellations, complaints, insurance and any dispute are yours to handle. That is equally true of a customer who found you through the Marketplace.

If a customer asks for extra work while a cash job is in progress, you or an assigned worker may propose a written description and additional amount. The job total changes only after the customer approves the private link. A declined, expired or unanswered request changes nothing. This record documents the price decision; it does not prove the work was completed, waive a complaint, or make Shinivo a party to the agreement.

Do not use the on site extra tool to increase a card authorization. Card extras require a separate payment approved by the customer or a quote handled by the business.

Nothing in the product makes us a party to that arrangement.

The Marketplace and the introduction fee

The Marketplace is optional. Shinivo works the same without it, and nothing in this section applies unless you have switched your listing on.

When the Marketplace introduces you to a customer you did not already have, we charge a single introduction fee on that first job. The amount is shown to you in full before you join, and the amount that applies to a particular customer is fixed when that customer is introduced. Changing our rates later does not change what you already owe.

The fee is earned only when that first job is completed. If the booking is cancelled or declined, nothing is owed.

The fee is charged once for that customer and never again. Later bookings with the same person are not charged, whether they come through the Marketplace, your own booking link, or a repeat schedule. Customers who found you any other way are never charged for.

The fee is never taken out of what your customer pays you, whether they paid cash or card. It is added to what you owe Shinivo and settled separately, on its own screen. A card payment for a cleaning goes to your Stripe account in full.

You can leave the Marketplace at any time. Fees already earned remain owed.

Subscriptions

New accounts include a 14 day free trial. No card is required to start it, and nothing is charged unless you choose a plan.

Pro and Team are billed monthly in advance at the price shown when you subscribe. Team includes staff access, assignments and individual job schedules. When a trial or subscription ends, the account keeps every record it created and stops being able to add new work until a plan is started.

You can cancel at any time. You keep the selected plan until the end of the period you have paid for. Cancelling does not delete your data, and you can start again later.

If a payment fails we keep the account working while the payment is retried rather than cutting off your booking page without warning.

Acceptable use

Do not use the product to send spam, to store information you have no right to hold, to attack or probe the service, or to break the law.

We may suspend an account that is being used this way.

Availability and liability

The service may have defects or be unavailable at times. It is provided as it is, without warranties.

We are not liable for lost business, lost bookings or other indirect losses. Keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose, and use the export tools to take a copy.

Changes

These terms may change as the product grows. Material changes will be communicated to account holders.

This document is written in plain language and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It should be reviewed before the product is sold at any scale.
